It is with sadness that I announce that Darlene Conley (Sally Spectra on Bold and the Beautiful) has died. She died of cancer on January 14, 2007. She was 72.
Sally was a delightful character on the Bold and the Beautiful. One never knew what she would say or do next. She often helped Thorne in his business and cheered him on.
Darlene was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 18, 1934. She was German and Irish. She was discovered at age fifteen. She played on several Broadway shows. After high school, she toured with the company.
Darlene acted many roles on TV movies and series. She was on the Cosby show, Highway to Heaven, and many others.
When the late William J. Bell co-created The Bold and the Beautiful, he knew the perfect slot for Darlene. She became Sally Spectra!
She is survived by an ex-husband, son, sister, and many nieces and nephews.
