Anyone who doesn’t recognize the name Heather Locklear must be living in a cave. This sexy actress still has amazing charisma on screen even in her mid-40's. With some of the soaps recently slipping in the ratings, this hot diva could surely change that on one of the nine daytime soaps, even if her stay was only temporary. Heather is not only beautiful, but has the ability to play multi-faceted roles, as especially evidenced in her portrayal of a mother suffering from multiple personality disorders in the 1996 TV movie Shattered Minds.
Heather first came onto the soap scene in the nighttime drama Dynasty in the 80's, an Aaron Spelling drama, as the young conniving Sami Jo. During that time frame, she also worked as Officer Stacy Sheridan on T.J. Hooker, alongside William Shatner and Adrian Zmed. Possibly her most memorable role was that of gutsy ice princess Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place, another Aaron Spelling drama, which she played from 1993 until it’s finale in 1999. It was speculated that Heather saved this show from early cancellation. Many Melrose fans remember the undeniable chemistry she had with Jack Wagner on this show. Peter and Amanda fans, or "Panda" fans were delighted when their characters reunited on the series finale. Heather also proved she had the ability to play a comedic role as Caitlin in Spin City, alongside Michael J. Fox and Charlie Sheen, respectively. Here are four soaps where Heather could make quite a head-turning impression, even if her stay was only brief.
The Bold and The Beautiful
Anyone who watched Melrose Place in the 90's knew how Heather and Jack Wagner’s characters, Peter and Amanda, torched up the screen together. Even when they were apart, many fans still clamored for them to find their way back to one another. Jack Wagner’s present character, Nick Marone, presently has his hands full with beautiful rivals Taylor and Brooke. Nick was recently arrested for Shane’s murder, thanks to Ridge’s machinations. Incidentally, Jack and Heather are dating in real-life, so working their magic on screen once again would be effortless. Heather could either play the wickedly sexy D.A. trying to send Nick to jail or his defense lawyer. Either way, she would surely give Taylor and Brooke some competition and butt heads with these other two lovely ladies.
The Young and the Restless
With high powered men on this show such as Victor and Jack, Heather could strut her stuff as a sexy CEO and cause these men to do some tongue-wagging. One could imagine what Nikki would have to say about this! She could also come on board as a no-nonsense lawyer, giving Michael Baldwin a run for his money.
General Hospital
This show partly centers around hit men and mafia bosses. Heather could easily fit the mold of the newest mafia princess on board, adding more excitement into Sonny’s already complicated love life. Who wouldn’t love to see Heather’s character and Carly or even Tracy Quartermaine exchange barbs? Mr. Craig, A.K.A. Jerry Jax, could use a love interest or two. It’s too bad that Ted King’s character, Lorenzo Alcazar, is leaving the show. Heather could create quite a stir if she sunk her claws into this bad boy.
One Live to Life
Heather would be fabulous interacting with any of the numerous feisty characters on this show. She could create some claw scratching with the likes of hotheaded characters like Blair, Lindsey, Dorian, or even Natalie. Now that the popular Renee Elise Goldsberry has regrettably decided to leave the show, Llanview coulduse another sexy lawyer in town. It’s too bad that Spencer’s dead, because these two could create some fireworks among the residents of this town.
